Reporting to the Academic Strategy and Operations Manager, this position provides leadership and oversight of the school's administrative team, ensuring effective operations and high quality service delivery. The role requires sound judgment, strong organizational and leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate complex administrative functions while supporting departmental and program objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead administrative operations and support service delivery across the school.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve policies, procedures, and processes.
Research best practices and recommend operational improvements.
Provide leadership, training, coaching, and cross training for administrative staff.
Serve as a liaison between leadership and administrative teams to support school goals.
Resolve operational issues and address service gaps.
Prepare and deliver administrative communications.
Skills & Abilities
Strong understanding of organizational objectives, policies, regulations, and administrative practices.
Excellent organizational, planning, and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities, take initiative, and exercise sound judgment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise tact and discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative systems (e.g., PeopleSoft).
Qualifications
Related degree such as Arts, Commerce or Business Administration.
3-5 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
Equivalent combination of diploma level education and relevant experience may be considered.
Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services (WES), International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) or the Comparative Education Services (CES).
Classification - Administrative Officer I
This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement.
Remuneration
Refer to salary range noted on this posting, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
