About the Role 

As an Asset Management Intern, you will support the commercial management of AltaGas's gas gathering and processing assets. Working alongside the Asset Management team, you will gain hands-on experience managing commercial agreements, evaluating growth opportunities, supporting capital projects, and participating in forecasting and budgeting activities that help drive the performance of our midstream business. 

This role is ideal for students interested in commercial strategy, energy markets, asset management, and business operations within the energy industry. 

What You'll Do 

• Support the management of commercial arrangements related to AltaGas' gas gathering and processing infrastructure. 

• Assist with the commercial leadership of gas gathering and processing assets. 

• Contribute to the evaluation of commercial opportunities and capital projects from origination through approval. 

• Support and Coordinate asset-level volume forecasting and annual budgeting activities. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Commercial, Operations, Engineering, and Finance. 

What You'll Bring 

• Currently enrolled in your 3rd year of a Bachelor of Commerce program, with a preference for students specializing in Energy Management, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, or a related field. 

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate opportunities and support business decision-making. 

• High attention to detail and accuracy. 

• Excellent communication and organizational skills. 

• A commercial and negotiating mindset, with an interest in energy markets and asset management. 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
