Are you an Engineering student who is looking for a hands-on opportunity this Fall in your field of study? Are you interested in real world experience that you will not get anywhere else?
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative student for a coop position. As a coop student, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experts at EIC on various projects aimed at pushing the boundaries of innovation in renewable energy systems.
The Energy Innovation Centre (EIC) focuses on alternative and renewable energy systems and houses Red Deer Polytechnic’s Alternative Energy Lab. The EIC focuses on finding sustainable ways to generate energy and provides innovative solutions that influence the future of the energy in Alberta and Canada. Data analysis of the solar photovoltaic systems, alternative energy in agriculture, power and renewable energy systems simulation are among the projects EIC is currently involved in. The team assists in applied research for industry while providing our students with meaningful, practical opportunities to further their learning.
Students in EIC are passionate about innovation and excited to learn in a unique environment. They are comfortable with work that is ambiguous and ever-changing. They will offer ideas and suggestions to their leaders and are prepared for those ideas to become learning challenges.
