We have an exciting opportunity for a Pipeline Asset Integrity Technologist to join our growing Grande Prairie Asset Integrity team, implementing a wide variety of inspection, repair, risk assessment, and corrosion management activities ensuring that our Asset Integrity programs are executed with optimal effectiveness. 

As part of the team, you will interface closely with Operations, Production, Engineering, and Safety groups, gaining exposure to all technical elements of Asset Integrity for pipelines. You will have the opportunity to deal with a wide variety of assets for the full life-cycle, from design and commissioning through to close-down, and decommissioning.

Key Accountabilities

• Conduct risk assessments to ensure assets remain within acceptable safety, environmental, compliance, reliability, and economic risk thresholds
• Collaborate with Asset Integrity, Operations, Production, Engineering, and Management teams to develop and implement integrity programs, including corrosion control, inspection and monitoring, metallurgical upgrades, process improvements, and detection systems
• Analyze inspection data, failure investigations, risk assessments, and operating conditions to identify degradation mechanisms and implement effective mitigation and monitoring strategies
• Manage corrosion monitoring, chemical inhibition, and cathodic protection programs for pipelines and associated facilities
• Maintain and update equipment inventory databases while supporting the safe execution of integrity-related inspections, repairs, construction, optimization, and capital projects
• Support long-term integrity planning, budgeting, vendor management, regulatory engagement, and participation in Corporate Integrity Network meetings

What You Bring to the Role

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with exposure to asset integrity, pipeline, or pressure equipment operations preferred
• Relevant Technical Degree, Diploma, or Engineering Degree considered an asset
• Knowledge of pipeline and pressure equipment systems, with API 510 and/or ABSA ISI certification viewed as a strong asset
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and self-management skills, combined with field operations experience in the oil and gas sector 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and able to quickly learn and adapt to new software and technology platforms
