Location - This role is in-person at North Campus Edmonton.
The position oversees the primary service delivery functions for Parking Services, supervises Parking Services' front-office staff, and performs a variety of administrative and financial functions; this position is responsible to maintain Parking's customer accounts, develop, champion and maintain customer service standards and service delivery, and oversee the preparation and delivery of parking permits and provides significant ongoing support to all areas of the University's parking services operations. There is a very high level of customer contact is integral to the responsibilities of this position, and the incumbent is faced with a wide and complex range of working situations.
- Supervises six full time customer service staff and recruits and hires these positions, as necessary.
- Manages performance including conducting performance appraisals, planning professional development, and ensuring Job Fact sheets are up to date and maintains customer service standards through regular staff monitoring and coaching.
- Trains and mentors, assigns daily duties, and manages vacation schedules.
- Maintains a positive work environment and builds supportive relationships with colleagues.
- Establishes customer service guidelines and standards for service delivery and disseminates parking information to the University community and general public.
- Resolves non-routine customer concerns and complaints, oversees maintenance of customer files and requisite documentation and manages all aspects of monthly parking permit issuance.
- Plans and implements annual staff parking permit renewal process.
- Conducts an annual audit and accounting of monthly parking permit inventories
- Administers the citation mailout process.
- Allocates monthly credit card, debit card and payroll deductions for monthly parking permit payments to requisite Parking Services revenue accounts and deposits funds
- Administers Parking Services' card access control systems
- 3-4 years experience supervising in an office environment.
- Customer service training or a practical equivalent is required for the position.
- Training in standard office computing software is required and knowledge/training in basic accounting skills are required.
- The position requires Peoplesoft enterprise systems training and knowledge.
- The ability to work effectively with a broad cross-section of the University community.
- Exceptional customer/public relation skills.
- The ability and judgment required to make appropriate and effective decisions in a wide variety of situations.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Course work towards professional development and certification in HR and/or Accounting is preferred.
- It is preferred that the applicant possess some training in supervision.
- It is preferred that the applicant have T2 software applications knowledge.
