Location - This role is in-person at the Lois Hole Hospital for Woman, Royal Alexandra Hospital, Edmonton, AB.

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Alberta is seeking a dedicated Clinical Research Coordinator to support multiple clinical, basic science, and translational research studies in women's and perinatal health. Working within the departmental research support team in collaboration with the Women and Children's Health Research Institute (WCHRI) at the Lois Hole Hospital for Women, this position plays a vital role in protocol management, ethics submissions, participant recruitment, and biological specimen collection. The successful candidate will work closely with investigators, healthcare providers, and research platforms to ensure the safe, efficient, and ethical execution of innovative health research.

• Assists in the development, feasibility assessment, and daily execution of clinical research protocols. 
• Coordinates ethics submissions, annual renewals, protocol amendments, and regulatory documentation. 
• Manages participant contact including screening, recruitment, informed consent, and scheduling follow-up study visits. 
• Performs clinical assessments and collects biological samples (including blood draws and placentas) per protocol requirements. 
• Acts as delegate/first point of contact for OBGYN research activities within the Dale Sheard Centre for Solutions in Women's Health. 
• Maintains precise medical records and remote data entry across study platforms (e.g., Connect Care).

• Science degree required (preferably in a women's health environment); Master's degree or Nursing background preferred. 
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical research experience with broad knowledge of the research process. 
• ACRP or SoCRA professional certification is preferred. 
• Strong knowledge of University of Alberta, AHS, and REB policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines. 
• Proficiency with MS Office applications and electronic medical record systems (Connect Care, Netcare). 
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and documentation skills with the ability to work independently and flexibly.
