The Opportunity
Keyano’s Public Engagement Department is currently seeking a Student Recruitment Coordinator to join their dynamic team. The Student Recruitment Coordinator serves as an ambassador for Keyano College, promoting programs, services, and educational opportunities while building relationships with prospective students, schools, community organizations, and industry partners. Reporting to the Manager, Indigenous Relations & Student Recruitment, the Coordinator leads recruitment initiatives, provides guidance on programs and admissions, and represents the College at events and outreach activities to support student recruitment and engagement. The role requires occasional travel, evening and weekend work, to support recruitment activities and community engagement opportunities throughout the region and beyond.Note: this is not a remote or hybrid work opportunity, you will be required to work on campus and relocate to Fort McMurray, AB.

• Represent Keyano College at recruitment events, career fairs, school visits, community events, and outreach activities.• Provide information on programs, admissions, registration, financial aid, awards, support services, and College policies.
• Guide prospective students through the application, admission, and registration process.
• Build and maintain relationships with schools, counsellors, Indigenous communities, employers, and community partners.
• Deliver presentations, information sessions, classroom visits, and other recruitment activities.
• Coordinate and participate in recruitment and student engagement events, including Education & Career Fairs, Open House, Orientation, and Student for a Day.
• Promote College programs and services through marketing materials, presentations, displays, and promotional resources.
• Follow up with prospective and admitted students to support application, registration, enrolment, and retention objectives.
• Connect students with appropriate College services, resources, academic departments, and advising supports.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate information and a positive student experience.
• Participate in regional recruitment initiatives and professional recruitment networks, including Education Liaison Association of Alberta (ELAA) and Post-Secondary Indigenous Recruitment Association of Alberta (PIRRA).
• Identify and support partnership, community engagement, and outreach opportunities that strengthen recruitment efforts.
• Maintain and update student information system (SIS) records, track applicant interactions, and monitor recruitment, application, admission, and registration activities through applicable reporting tools.
• Collect and share student feedback to help improve recruitment, admission, registration, and retention processes.
• Participate in professional development and perform duties within approved budget guidelines.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in, Business, Marketing, Communications, Education, or a related field.• A minimum of two years of related experience in a student services or student recruitment environment.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Relationship building and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with post-secondary education programs and entrance requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel.
Please note that if your education was received internationally, upon hire we will require you to provide an international education assessment completed through WES, IQAS or one of the other IRCC approved designated organization.
Compensation and Benefits
• Compensation is $69,547.17 (CUPE IS7) with the following health and benefit package.• Employer paid comprehensive health and dental benefits, including a health spending account.
• Generous defined benefit pension plan though LAPP starting on day 1 of employment.
• This position qualifies for additional payment of the Northern Living Allowance of $1,040.00 per month.
• Generous vacation entitlement and the bonus of paid holidays between Christmas and New Years
• Life insurance is 2.5 times your annual salary
