The Facility Operator (Casual) reports directly to the Manager, Athletic & Recreation Facilities. They will be responsible for providing operation support services to all Athletic and Recreation Services Facilities (Max Bell Region Aquatic Centre (MBRAC), the Centre for Sport and Wellness (CSW), and Community Sports Stadium).
Key Responsibilities Include:
Hourly Rate: $20.01
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Completing maintenance work orders for on-demand maintenance and preventative maintenance through WebTMA work order system. Including daily checklists, light change outs, sign installation and small equipment repairs.
- Setting up for events, event monitoring, providing Intermediate First Aid, and take downs for bookings and special events held within the ARS Facilities.
- Assisting full-time Facility Operations staff with technical operation tasks, including monthly and annual inspections, hazardous chemical changeouts, pool chemistry water tests, and equipment repairs and replacements.
- Facility monitoring, including day to day task assignment, supervision and attendance of user group activities in ARS facilities, and complete daily walk throughs of the facilities.
- Basic facility maintenance and janitorial duties including: cleaning gym floors; pressure washing pool deck; artificial turf maintenance, weed control and snow removal (Stadium).
- Shift work including mornings, evenings and weekends.
