Location - This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person. Work primarily takes place at North Campus, Edmonton.
The Office of the Registrar at the University of Alberta is seeking a strategic, solutions-oriented Manager, Enrolment Systems & Planning for a full-time, two-year temporary position. This role bridges the gap between technical infrastructure and higher education business operations The Manager will lead a team of 8–10 Functional Analysts, guiding cyclical operational activities, system and process implementations, enhancements, and upgrades.
In this role, you will serve as a key advisor to leaders in the Deputy Provost (Students and Enrolment) and partners across campus. You will analyze business needs, mitigate risks, and design continuous improvement strategies to streamline student administration services. Additionally, you will build and sustain high-performing cross-functional support models and maintain key external vendor and service-provider relationships.
This role requires a systems thinker with exceptional leadership and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to foster collaboration, coach talent, and navigate dynamic stakeholder priorities across campus.
- Managing and optimizing the University of Alberta’s enterprise systems (i.e. PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Electronic Records Management System - Alfresco), cloud solutions, and inhouse applications that support the Office of the Registrar (RO), campus partners, and students relying on the systems and services the RO and campus partners provide. This includes and is not limited to leading large scale initiatives, enhancing systems and business processes, implementing new functionality, supporting the University’s growing enrolment targets and post secondary technology trends, and ensuring all systems supporting student administration runs smoothly.
- Provides advice, analysis, and recommendations to senior leadership on prioritization, planning, and risks in the enrollment management systems.
- Manages complex programs and projects.
- Identifies and understands multiple stakeholders’, at times competing, needs and suggests appropriate business process & technological solutions.
- Leads a team of functional analysts, identifies, acquires, manages and supports collective and individual talent. Proactively identifies and plans for future talent needs.
- Develops productive relationships with service partners assigned to the area and collaborates with them to provide information and services.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management (or related field) or Computing Science.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership role in an organization of similar size, complexity, and diversity. Post secondary experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in business analysis and project management principles and practices.
- Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools. Proven organizational change management skills.
- Understanding of the ITIL framework and how it applies in an enterprise application management environment. Experience implementing and supporting cloud solutions & ERP systems.

This position offers a comprehensive benefits package, and an annual salary range of $83,913 to $140,055.
