A major fire broke out Saturday evening at the Architectural Clearinghouse, a building located along 119 Street just south of Kingsway in Edmonton, next door to The Gamers Den.
Thick smoke and intense flames quickly overtook the structure as Edmonton Fire Rescue Services rushed to the scene. Witnesses reported at least two or three ladder trucks initially deployed, with more arriving shortly after to assist in the battle.
The blaze, located west of 122 Street, has since spread through the entire building. Flames have breached the roof, windows have burst from the heat, and embers are being carried into the nearby Canadian Tire parking lot. Crews continue working to keep the fire from spreading to neighboring businesses.
119 Street has been closed between Kingsway and 114 Avenue while firefighters remain on scene. As of now, no cause has been identified and no injuries have been reported.
