Alberta's Forestry Ministry Charged With Six Safety Violations Over Death of 24-Year-Old Jasper Firefighter
Morgan Kitchen, 24, was killed by a falling tree while fighting the Jasper wildfire on August 3, 2024. Alberta's Ministry of Forestry and Parks, his employer, now faces six workplace safety charges laid on July 29 this year, five days before the two-year limitation period on such prosecutions expired.
