Calgary Costco Fraud: Two People Face 189 Charges After $30,000 Barcode Scheme, Police Say
Calgary police say multiple Costco stores were defrauded of more than $30,000 between April and June by someone using altered UPC codes to buy TVs, computers and gaming consoles at the price of cheaper items. A search of a northeast home on August 1 turned up more than 300 grams of suspected meth, credit card manufacturing equipment, card skimmers, 31 credit cards and two receipt printers.
