Calgary Is Adding Chip Bags, Foam and Toothpaste Tubes to Blue Cart Recycling Oct. 1

Calgary's blue cart recycling rules expand Oct. 1, 2026, adding chip bags, snack wrappers, foam packaging, toothpaste tubes and certain aerosol cans. The change is part of Alberta's province-wide recycling system, and it's already cut blue cart fees by $7.17 a month.
