Calgary Steel Plant Fined $138,000 After Worker Entangled in Equipment
A steel manufacturer has been fined $138,000 after a worker at its Calgary facility became entangled in equipment while greasing it and suffered serious injuries. The company pleaded guilty August 5 in Calgary Court of Justice, nearly three years after the September 2023 incident and a year after the plant changed hands.
