Danielle Smith Wants Alberta Illegal Dumping Fines of Up to $100,000 and Possible Jail Time

Premier Danielle Smith says Alberta will introduce legislation this fall with illegal dumping fines of up to $100,000 for individuals and $1 million for corporations, plus possible jail time. Calgary recorded about 30,000 complaints last year, but issued just three fines.
