Edmonton Police Face Free Speech Backlash Over Report Hate Campaign
A 16-second video posted July 31 showed examples of online hate the Edmonton Police Service wanted people to report, including comments about deportation. It reached 171,000 views before police deleted it, and they haven't said why. Constitutional lawyers argued most of what it showed isn't criminal. The portal it pointed to is still open, still accepting complaints about conduct EPS itself defines as non-criminal.
