Edmonton Woman Elaine Warren-Blais, 65, Died After Waiting 85 Minutes for an Ambulance
Elaine Warren-Blais collapsed at her Riverbend home on July 24. Her husband, family doctor Guy Blais, called 911 at 4:52 a.m. The ambulance arrived at 6:17. Alberta's urban response target is 12 minutes. EHS-Alberta says an investigation is underway and the medical examiner has not determined a cause of death.
