In this developmental role, you will work alongside experienced engineers and subject matter experts to assess in-line inspection data, support integrity programs, and contribute to decisions that keep Enbridge’s liquids pipeline system safe and reliable. You will apply engineering fundamentals to pipeline integrity assessments involving corrosion, cracking, and deformation threats while building your technical expertise through mentorship, training, and progressively complex assignments.

What You Will Do
- Support routine in-line inspection programs and pipeline integrity assessments involving corrosion, cracking, deformation, and interacting threats using established Enbridge processes.
- Review and compare in-line inspection, nondestructive examination, pipeline attributes, operational, and integrity-dig data to identify potential concerns and evaluate inspection-tool performance.
- Perform engineering calculations and analyses, including corrosion-growth, remaining-strength, crack-fatigue, fitness-for-service, and threat-interaction evaluations, with appropriate coaching and technical review.
- Use Excel, Power BI, Python, SQL, Copilot, and similar tools to organize, analyze, automate, and visualize integrity data and improve engineering workflows.
- Prepare clear calculations, technical documentation, presentations, plans, forecasts, and draft recommendations for review by qualified engineers and subject matter experts.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Risk, Mitigation, Operations, vendors, and technical specialists while progressing toward engineering competency and qualification milestones and participating in the Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) on-call rotation.
Who You Are
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized university and are eligible for registration with APEGA.
- Under 2 years of related professional engineering experience.
- Understanding of fundamental engineering principles and can assess information, recognize inconsistencies, perform calculations, and develop well-supported conclusions with guidance.
- Comfortable using spreadsheets and learning tools such as Excel, Power BI, Python, SQL, MATLAB, or other data-analysis and visualization applications.
- Good communicatin skills to clearly document technical work, present findings, respond to feedback, and collaborate effectively with engineering, operational, and technical partners.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, integrity, inclusion, continuous learning, high-quality work, deadline management, and seeking guidance when requirements or results are unclear.
Working Conditions
- Office-based work with occasional travel (~5%) to field excavations, industry committees or conferences, and other office locations.
- Participation in the NDE on-call support rotation for approximately three weeks per year.
