Role
Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Health Workforce, you will oversee the operations of key initiatives and programs under the Alberta Medical Association Agreement as well as oversee the implementation of allied health compensation initiatives such as for Nurse Practitioners, Podiatry, and Optometrists among others. Working successfully with stakeholders including the Alberta Medical Association and other allied health associations to address emerging issues and lead the implementation of informed policies and strategies for negotiation of schedules aligned with the refocused Health System. You will be responsible to develop strategic recommendations, options, and provide advice. Your excellent communication and influential skills will lend to strong networks and relationships with complex stakeholders and partners. You have experience leading strong teams accountable for program delivery and you demonstrate an understanding of government and department priorities.
Qualifications
Success in this role calls for a progressive leader with a background that includes significant related senior management leadership experience. You bring a strong understanding of public health and health systems, financial accountabilities as well as informed policy development. You possess demonstrated experience working with diverse stakeholder groups and have successfully managed health workforce compensation related issues. Your expertise also includes extensive experience in strategic and business planning, organizational performance management, and corporate accountability frameworks, with a demonstrated capacity to advance operational excellence. You have a successful track record working with or for regulatory or governing bodies and an understanding of secretariat support. As a leader you are recognized for leading complex programs and building strong lines of communication and empowering your teams to achieve results through performance excellence. Related post-secondary education is preferred.
Salary
$5,896.65 - $7,749.28 bi-weekly ($153,902.57 to 202,256.21 annually)
