Are you a Workday expert who enjoys turning HR data, systems, and processes into seamless employee experiences?
We are seeking a highly skilled HR Data & Process Analyst to serve as the functional subject matter expert for Workday HCM, HR processes, and related HR systems.
In this role, you will lead the optimization of HR services through data analysis, system enhancements, process improvement, reporting, testing, training, and change management. Working closely with HR, ITS, and other stakeholders, you will play a critical role in maximizing the value of our Workday platform and driving continuous improvement across HR operations.
Join our team as the functional subject matter expert for HR processes, Workday, and related HR Systems. This position supports the optimization of HR services through business analysis, data governance, reporting, process improvement, testing, training, and change management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert analysis for report development, system configuration, or technical development activities
- Analyze and interpret HR data and existing reports to support operational and strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with technical support resources to support system enhancements and process improvements
- Serve as the primary liaison between HR, ITS, Workday support resources, and institutional stakeholders
- Lead or coordinate user acceptance testing activities to validate that reporting and system changes meet business requirements
- Develop and maintain training materials, user guides, process documentation, standard operating procedures, knowledge articles, online (eg: intranet updates) resources and maintain Adobe forms
- Deliver training on Workday processes, reporting tools, and HR procedures, ensuring documentation remains current and aligned with business practices and system functionality
- Support HR leadership and institutional stakeholders with strategic initiatives, operational planning, and emerging organizational requirements
- Leverage data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement
Skills & Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of business analysis methodologies, process improvement techniques, data governance principles, audit and compliance practices, reporting and analytics methodologies, testing approaches, records management practices, and change management principles
- Strong curiosity and continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience driving technology adoption and user engagement.
- Passion for enhancing the employee and manager experience through technology.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills along with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced experience working with Workday HCM, including business processes, reporting, testing, system enhancements, and user support. Demonstrated ability to leverage Workday functionality to improve HR operations, data quality, and user experience.
- Ability to build effective partnerships across HR and institutional stakeholders
- Able to identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, documentation, user experience and Workday-enabled workflows
- Strong understanding of collective agreements, employment legislation, privacy requirements, workforce reporting obligations, audit practices, and data governance principles
Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related discipline
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Demonstrated experience with Workday HCM is strongly preferred and will be considered a significant asset.
- Prior experience in a unionized and/or post-secondary educational environment is an asset

Remuneration: Refer to salary range noted on this posting, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
