As the Parts Technician 2, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and supervision of the parts warehouse. In the role, you will ensure satisfaction of the supported business units and foster an environment of continual improvement and motivation. Primary duties include:

• Investigate and resolve parts inventory integrity, purchasing and accounting issues to ensure all information balances accordingly using provided inventory systems.
• Delegate tasks to Parts Technicians including prioritizing and assigning work based on the need for business operations.
• Support business unit in seasonal maintenance planning.
• Manage expectations and provide input on employees' performance.
• Support leadership in maintaining staff schedules through vacation, coverage and unplanned absences.
• Foster a motivational environment through staff and customer engagement working through concerns and efficiencies.
• Support in onboarding new staff, training and safety standards set out by management on improvements.
• Perform the work of the Parts Technician when necessary.

Qualifications 

• A valid Journeyman Parts Technician certification (or equivalent Interprovincial Red Seal), as recognized by Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training is required.
• At least 5 years of applied parts or warehouse experience after receiving certification.
• A valid Class 5 Driver's License (or provincial equivalency) with no more than 6 demerits and no current charges or suspensions pending is required.
• Ability to obtain a City of Calgary operator's permit.
• Previous experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems that support warehouse operations will be an asset.
• Supervisory and/or heavy-duty experience will be considered assets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree of customer focus and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and staff.
• Strong problem solving, planning, organizing, and decision-making skills. 

  Pre-employment Requirements 

• A security clearance will be conducted.

 Workstyle

• This position works full time from the site, with no remote work options available.

Failure to pass a pre-employment drug test may prevent an applicant from being hired into any safety sensitive position for a period of up to twelve months.
