About the Opportunity
NAIT is building a stronger, more connected experiential learning ecosystem that better supports students, employers, academic programs, and the institution. As part of the institution's Academic Portfolio Development work, Career Education, Employer Relations, and Work-Integrated Learning are being brought together into a more coordinated and learner-centered model designed to improve consistency, strengthen outcomes, and create greater impact across NAIT.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Academic Partnerships & Experiential Learning, the Manager, Experiential Learning & Career Education plays a key leadership role in transitioning this vision from design and implementation to sustainable operations. The role provides leadership for Career Education, Employer Relations, and Work-Integrated Learning Operations, ensuring these functions operate as an integrated system that supports learner success, workforce responsiveness, and institutional objectives.

Working through a team of supervisors, the Manager develops leaders, strengthens the integrated service model, and aligns people, processes, and technology to support consistent, scalable, and sustainable operations.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Development (30%)
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to a team of supervisors responsible for Career Education, Employer Relations, and Work-Integrated Learning Operations.
- Build capability across the leadership team through coaching, development planning, performance management, and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and service excellence.
- Support organizational readiness and change management initiatives as NAIT continues to strengthen its experiential learning ecosystem.
Operational Strategy and Integrated Service Delivery (30%)
- Lead the integration of Career Education, Employer Relations, and Work-Integrated Learning Operations into a coordinated service model.
- Establish and oversee the frameworks, processes, standards, and service models that guide operational delivery.
- Define priorities, performance expectations, and operating practices that support consistent, scalable, and sustainable service delivery.
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and learner outcomes.
Stakeholder Alignment and Service Excellence (25%)
- Partner with Academic Schools, academic leaders, employers, and institutional stakeholders to support experiential learning objectives.
- Ensure services remain responsive to learner, employer, and program needs while maintaining consistency across the institution.
- Support the implementation of institutional priorities through practical operating approaches and clear service expectations.
- Foster strong relationships that support collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
Planning, Resources, and Continuous Improvement (15%)
- Support workforce planning, resource allocation, budget management, and operational planning activities.
- Monitor key performance indicators and service outcomes.
- Identify operational risks and opportunities and recommend improvements.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives that strengthen learner experiences, employer engagement, and institutional effectiveness.

Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Business, Education, Leadership, Public Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Minimum five (5) years of progressive leadership experience, including experience leading leaders and developing high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated success building and improving teams, processes, frameworks, operating models, or service delivery approaches in a complex environment.
- Strong organizational, planning, and change leadership skills, with the ability to translate vision and strategy into practical and sustainable operations.
- Experience in experiential learning, career education, student services, workforce development, employer engagement, post-secondary education, or a related field
