The Opportunity
Keyano's Financial Services Department is currently seeking a Procurement Coordinator (Term) to join their dynamic team. The Procurement Coordinator provides public procurement services and contract administration to the College.This Term role starts as soon as possible and will end on or before June 30, 2027.
Note: this is not a remote or hybrid work opportunity, you will be required to work on campus and relocate to Fort McMurray, AB.

• Lead strategic procurement initiatives to support the College’s operational and academic goals.• Conduct open and fair procurement that complies with trade agreements, legislation, and internal polices/procedures.
• Review and approve requisitions and purchase orders in accordance with trade agreements, legislation and budgetary controls.
• Lead public tendering processes via APC, including bid evaluations, vendor communications, and post-award debriefings.
• Lead cross-functional teams through public sourcing and share technical expertise and knowledge with College employees on legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain the contract database for the College, Grants, Lease Agreements, etc.
• Create process and templates for procurement and contract administration. Maintain standard operating procedures.
• Provide training to College employees on the relevant ERP system, procurement and contract processes.
• Preparation of formal documentation, proof and edit documents to ensure consistency, completeness, and accuracy.
• Evaluate risk, ensure compliance, and determine steps to ensure the College will not be at risk.
• Maintain consistent and effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy; understanding the legal ramifications of purchasing decisions.
• Maintain a high level of diplomacy, political sensitivity, ethics, integrity, and discretion.
• Support a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related discipline• Supply Chain Management Professional designation, or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years procurement experience, with minimum of 3 years experience in the MASH sector with a focus on public tenders
• Knowledge of New West Partnership Trade Agreement, Canadian Free Trade Agreement and Canada Economic Trade Agreement

Compensation and Benefits
• Compensation is $6,157.51 per month (CUPE TS7) with the following health and benefit package.• Employer paid comprehensive health and dental benefits, including a health spending account.
• This position qualifies for additional payment of the Northern Living Allowance of $1,040.00 per month.
• Generous vacation entitlement and the bonus of paid holidays between Christmas and New Years
• Life insurance is 2.5 times your annual salary
