Research Facilitator: Internal Awards, Postdoctoral Funding, and Research Management System Support (Full-time, Term)

The Office of Research and Innovation Services (ORIS) at the University of Lethbridge invites applications for the position of Research Facilitator: Internal Awards, Postdoctoral Funding, and Research Management System Support, starting no later than January 4, 2027. ORIS is a central support to the research community at the University of Lethbridge, and this Research Facilitator position plays a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing research and scholarly activities. As a member of a dynamic team of five research facilitators, reporting to the Director of Research and Innovation Services, the successful candidate supports research growth through grant and award administration, external funding, Research Management System (RMS) enhancement, and knowledge mobilization activities, including resource development.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and undergraduate students in developing and strengthening grant proposals;
• Manage and coordinate internal research grants, undergraduate awards, and postdoctoral funding competitions;
• Advise faculty members, postdoctoral fellows, and undergraduate students on relevant university and external sponsor policies, procedures, and guidelines;
• Administer pre- and post-award processes, including opening research accounts, tracking renewal timelines, and ensuring reports are submitted to funders;
• Contribute to strategies for improving funding success rates and increasing research-related revenue;
• Support knowledge mobilization by helping researchers translate research into practical applications and communicate research activities and successes to the broader community;
• Undertake related duties, as assigned, consistent with the nature of the position.

The University of Lethbridge is undertaking a job classification and compensation review for Administrative Professional Officer (APO) positions. As such, the salary range currently assigned for this position may be adjusted as a result of this project.
