Senior Costing Manager

The future you want is within reach. Let's build it together.

At PCL Constructors Inc., part of the PCL Family of Companies (PCL), we don't just build projects -- we build opportunities, careers and communities. We are 100% employee-owned, every employee has a stake in our success, and that shared commitment drives how we work, grow and lead in the construction industry.

We're a team of builders who care deeply about what we create and who we build with. That includes you. We are not only shaping the future of construction, we are also committed to shaping the future of your career.

As a Senior Costing Manager for PCL Constructors Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta (Corporate), you'll have the opportunity to turn field-tested judgment into scalable practices, coach project leaders through complex cost and change decisions, and help shape the continued evolution of Cost Management in PM4+ (our internal project management application).

You have built projects, led teams, worked through difficult challenges, and learned that disciplined cost management is not an administrative exercise. It is how strong project teams see clearly, act early, and protect the outcome. Now imagine applying that experience across PCL.

You may be the person others call when a forecast does not tell the full story, when a change is not being managed with enough discipline, or when the team needs a practical path forward. You are credible because you have done the work. You are effective because you can teach it. You are ready for a role where your judgment can help many teams build with greater clarity, consistency, and confidence. This is an opportunity for a proven builder who wants to stay connected to operations while influencing how projects across PCL manage change, forecast costs, and develop the next generation of project leaders.

Lead the practice

• Serve as a senior enterprise resource for PCL’s costing, forecasting, cost-control, and change-management practices across a diverse range of projects, contract models, and delivery methods.
• Maintain practical, scalable cost-management guidance aligned with PCL business guides and project and market needs; address recurring risks and inconsistent practices with enterprise solutions.

Develop people and capability

• Coach project managers, coordinators, engineers, superintendents, and district leaders in cost, forecast, and change management; strengthen onboarding and targeted project and team support.
• Design and deliver training, coaching, and facilitation in the format that fits the need: one-to-one coaching with individual leaders, in-person workshops and sessions with project and district groups, and large virtual events that raise the collective cost-management skillset of PCLers.
• Work with district champions and project support to turn experienced builders’ judgment into practical guidance, resources, examples, and decision support for future leaders.

Lead PM4+ Cost Management

• Partner with Business Technology and PM4+ stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize and evaluate enhancements, and guide implementation and adoption; use project and district feedback to improve usability, efficiency, data quality, and confidence in project information.
• Advance capabilities for cost-management setup, budgets and cost codes, labor costing, project cost and forecasting, subcontract management, risk and opportunity, and related workflows.

Influence enterprise performance

• Build strong cross-functional relationships across the enterprise, including operations, ICS, Professional Development, Finance, and Business Technology to improve the quality, consistency, and usefulness of project cost and forecast information across PCL.
