The Opportunity
Keyano College's Sport & Wellness Centre is seeking Student Assistant - Guest Services Attendants. These positions work in a high-energy, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. The Guest Services Attendant reports directly to the Guest Services Supervisor. While working in our high energy environment candidates will be responsible for the day-to-day activities as it relates to the sales, greeting and receiving of our members, which include college staff, and students. Successful candidates will aid in maintaining a clean and welcoming facility. Flipping events, setting up/tearing down programming and leagues, and assisting with special events. The term for this position is September 2026 – December 2026.Note: this is not a remote or hybrid work opportunity, you will be required to work on campus and relocate to Fort McMurray, AB.

• Answering incoming calls, filing and reception validated and processing memberships and program information through Active net software cash handling processes.• Conducting facility tours including noting equipment and facility maintenance and damage, organizing equipment, equipment lending, cleaning fitness centre equipment, general maintenance of equipment, equipment set-up and tear down.
• Events, programming, league(s): bookings, cleaning, supporting, and set up and tear downs.
• Monitoring users as well as the centre’s field houses, track, fitness centre, studio spaces and enforcing facility policies including wristband, membership card, dress code, and equipment lending policies.
• Canteen operations when needed.
• Maintain a high level of customer service, ensure the facility is a welcoming and safe space.
• Ability to work in a high pace, high task completion environment.
Qualifications
• Minimum grade 12 education or GED• Must be proficient in conversational English
• Customer service experience specifically in front of house or recreation roles, personal sport, or fitness experience, coaching or youth sport volunteering experience will be considered an asset.
• Team members must be able to multi-task, to work independently or as a member of a team, and to communicate openly with fellow co-workers as well as guests.
• Candidates must be able to lift 50lbs weight.
• The position requires availability on weekends and evenings.
• Must be a Keyano student and legally allowed to work on campus
Compensation and Benefits
CUPE Student $16.20 per hour.Additional Information
