Medicine Hat College is welcoming applications for a full-time, temporary Administrative Assistant II position, for a temporary leave replacement.
A little about the role:
Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Marketing & Design, this position provides administrative, operational, and coordination support within the integrated Marketing, Communications and Recruitment portfolio. The role helps ensure activities, information, schedules, digital content, events, and student engagement initiatives remain organized, responsive, and aligned across multiple teams.
Primary responsibilities include
- Coordinating calendars, meetings, schedules, travel arrangements, and operational logistics.
- Supporting marketing, communications, recruitment, and student engagement activities.
- Monitoring shared inquiries and coordinating appropriate follow-up, referral, or escalation.
- Coordinating student and athlete ambassador schedules, activities, and participation.
- Supporting campus tours, presentations, events, and experiential student engagement initiatives.
- Assisting with the preparation and organization of promotional materials, templates, communications, and event resources.
- Completing routine Sitecore website updates using approved content.
- Maintaining records, databases, contact information, trackers, and operational documentation.
- Supporting project coordination and information flow between departments and stakeholders.
- Monitoring timelines and identifying information gaps, overdue actions, or coordination requirements.
This position serves as an important operational link within the MHC community and other institutional partners. Responsibilities may evolve over time as departmental processes and service models continue to develop.
