Calgary Police are asking the public to help find a 16-year-old girl who has been missing from the Beltline since May 20.
Jersey was last seen ten days ago in the 900 block of 15 Avenue SW. She has not been located. Police and her family are concerned for her wellbeing.
What she looks like
Jersey is 5'2" tall, approximately 45 kilograms, slim build, with hazel eyes and long copper-dyed hair. She has a tattoo on her right cheek.
When last seen she was wearing black clothing a hoodie with a pink design, black pants, and brown boots and carrying a backpack.
Where she went missing
The 900 block of 15 Avenue SW sits in the heart of Calgary's Beltline a dense, walkable inner-city neighbourhood bordered by downtown to the north and Mission to the south. The area around 15 Avenue between 8 Street and Macleod Trail is busy with foot traffic, restaurants, convenience stores, and transit routes.
The Beltline has seen a notable increase in disorder activity in recent years. Calgary Police data shows the area recorded significant increases in disturbances and unwanted guest calls in 2025, with disorder call types reaching multi-year highs across the inner city. For a young person on foot in that area, the environment carries real risks particularly after dark.
Calgary Police Service receives an average of 3,800 missing persons reports a year. The urgency assigned to each case is determined by a standardized risk assessment that takes into account the person's age, emotional state, lifestyle vulnerabilities, and circumstances of the disappearance. When police and family jointly express concern for a teenager's wellbeing as they have in Jersey's case it signals the situation is being treated as high risk.
A change you should know about
Calgary Police no longer release the last names of missing persons or updates on whether someone has been found. The change came after feedback from families and people who were found some of whom said public updates created safety or privacy concerns after they returned home. Jersey's first name is the only name police have released.
