A String of Targeted Break-Ins
Two men have been charged with a combined 67 offences following a break-and-enter spree that targeted multiple businesses across Calgary earlier this year.
According to the Calgary Police Service, seven commercial break-ins occurred between January 3 and January 21, 2026, primarily targeting gaming, electronics, and liquidation stores.
Police allege the suspects smashed storefronts to gain entry, causing significant damage before stealing items including gaming cards, electronics, and knives. The total estimated loss including stolen goods and property damage is approximately $30,000.
Search Warrant Uncovers Weapons and Drugs
Investigators from the CPS District 4 Break and Enter Team linked the incidents to the same suspects and executed a search warrant on February 11, 2026, at a residence in the 1400 block of 42 Street N.E.
During the search, officers seized a large quantity of gaming cards, three firearms including a prohibited handgun and a sawed-off shotgun an extended magazine, and a conducted energy weapon.
Police also recovered approximately $35,000 worth of drugs, including fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, and psilocybin.
Stolen Vehicles and Fraud Equipment Seized
In addition to weapons and drugs, officers located three stolen vehicles, three stolen bicycles, a stolen licence plate, and 31 government-issued identification documents.
Investigators also found multiple vehicle keys, along with devices used to duplicate key fobs and create fraudulent documents.
Charges and Court Dates
Chad Snider, 38, of Calgary, has been charged with 49 offences, including firearm-related charges, drug trafficking, possession of stolen property, break-and-enter, and failing to comply with a release order. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 17, 2026.
Coady Philip MacIntyre, 37, of Calgary, faces 18 charges, including break-and-enter, disguise with intent, and failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 13, 2026.
Ongoing Investigation
Police say the investigation remains ongoing and are asking anyone with information to contact the Calgary Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
