A teaching assistant at a west Edmonton daycare has been charged with sexually assaulting a child and police say he also worked at a second daycare across the city.
Kulraj Singh, 21, was arrested April 21 after a parent contacted Edmonton Police on April 8 to report an incident involving their child. Investigators identified Singh as the suspect. He was suspended by his employer and had his childcare certification revoked before his arrest.
Singh faces charges of sexual assault and sexual interference.

Second Daycare Raises Scope of Investigation
Singh was also employed at a central Edmonton daycare, a detail police disclosed alongside a direct appeal for more victims to come forward. The EPS says it believes there are additional complainants who have not yet reported.
Bail Conditions
Singh was released on conditions barring him from schools, daycares, playgrounds, libraries, swimming pools, and youth shelters unless accompanied by a sober adult aware of his charges. He is also prohibited from any position of trust or authority over anyone under 16.
