Alberta Votes to Stay in Canada as 76% Reject Separation Referendum in Early Results
Albertans have overwhelmingly rejected starting the process toward separation. Early results show 76% voted to remain in Canada. “Above all, Albertans chose Canada,” Prime Minister Mark Carney said. Premier Danielle Smith addresses the province Tuesday, and nine other questions, including immigration, are still being counted.
