Alberta’s New ‘Strong and Free’ Welcome Signs Are Officially Going Up at Border Crossings for $3.5 Million
Alberta unveiled its new border welcome signs Thursday, replacing "Wild Rose Country" with the province's official "Strong and Free" motto. Twenty-two signs are being installed at a cost of $3.5 million. They look like wood, but they're made in Edmonton from aluminum and anodized bronze.
