Calgary Driver Arrested After Police Clock 218 km/h on Stoney Trail
Calgary police stopped a car doing 218 km/h in a 100 zone on southbound Stoney Trail near Peigan Trail S.E. The driver was arrested for dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, a Criminal Code offence rather than a traffic ticket. Four hours earlier the same day, another driver was clocked at 154 km/h in the Airport Trail tunnel and ticketed.
