Danielle Smith Says Calgary Can Be 'Nashville North' After Meeting Tennessee Officials

Premier Danielle Smith met with Nashville business and tourism leaders during a personal trip this week and says Calgary can become "Nashville North." She puts Calgary's music industry at $2.3 billion against Nashville's $28.3 billion. The Stampede says the vision aligns with its 20-year plan.

As a Nashvillian who does Uber part time I come in contact with a lot of Albertans. I love yall and the rest of Canada too. You are just good people. I've always wanted to attend Stampede. Calgary in 1988 Olympics is where I discovered and fell in live with hockey. I'd also like visit Hart House as a wrestling fan. I hope your city thrives like ours has. I've lived in Nashville since 2009 and the growth and changes have been astounding. Thankfully the state has setup conditions for growth here by giving tax breaks to companies moving here. The music industry is just a small part of our growth. I will give one piece of advice....our city really struggles with infrastructure. Invest in that first. We are literally decades behind in this area and it is a real pain. I wish you all nothing but the best!!! Btw please dont hold our politics against us. Most of us dont agree with the disrespect your nation has been given..
