The U of A Hospital ER Now Has Airport-Style Weapons Detection Screening

Everyone entering the University of Alberta Hospital emergency department is now asked to undergo weapons screening. Patients who refuse will not automatically be denied emergency care, but visitors can be refused entry. AHS says the Royal Alexandra system has completed more than 56,000 screenings with about 12 refusals.
