Elections Alberta is running the largest election-worker recruitment drive in Alberta's history: a minimum of 60,000 workers are needed for the October 19, 2026 referendum, with positions at polling stations across Medicine Hat.
Medicine Hat is covered by the Brooks-Medicine Hat and Cypress-Medicine Hat electoral divisions. Elections Alberta staffs each division separately, so both count as work near you.

Who can apply
- Alberta residents 16 years or older (some roles require 18+) who are eligible to work in Canada
- A criminal record check is required, and workers must refrain from political activity during employment
- All positions include paid online and in-person training
