Calgary police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing man who was last seen Wednesday afternoon, with investigators noting that he may require medical assistance.
Shuai, who also goes by William, is 32 years old and became separated from his family near the City Hall CTrain Station on April 15, 2026. Police say updated information now places his last known sighting further west in the city.
According to the Calgary Police Service, William was last seen walking east along a pathway from the 69th Street CTrain Station in southwest Calgary at approximately 1:45 p.m. The shift in location suggests he may have traveled a significant distance before he was last seen.
He is described as 5’5” tall and approximately 165 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes. Police have not released details about what he was wearing at the time.

Search Efforts and Public Assistance
Investigators say William has a medical condition, which adds urgency to the search. Cases involving vulnerable individuals are often treated as time-sensitive, particularly when someone becomes separated from family in busy public areas like transit stations.

Missing persons reports are not uncommon in Calgary, especially in high-traffic areas such as CTrain stations and the downtown core. In many cases, individuals are located safely within hours or days, often after tips from the public help confirm sightings and narrow down timelines.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen William, particularly near the 69th Street CTrain Station on Wednesday afternoon, to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Calgary Police Service non-emergency line at 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477, online at calgarycrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips app.
