If you're looking for work in Edmonton this fall, there's plenty to apply for.
Our job board lists 1,493 Edmonton jobs from 66 employers right now. They range from government and city trades to construction, tech, health care, retail and even a Gordon Ramsay restaurant.
Some pay more than $50 an hour. Others don't need a degree or a trade ticket.
Counts are current as of Oct. 7, 2026, and change daily.
Edmonton's job market
Edmonton's unemployment rate was 6.9 per cent in August, unchanged from July, according to Statistics Canada. That's a little higher than Calgary, at 6.7 per cent, and Alberta overall, at 6.8 per cent.
September's numbers come out Friday, Oct. 9.

The City of Edmonton: up to $60 an hour
The City has 40 openings, and many list pay.
Senior Data Scientist: $59.73 an hour. Closes Oct. 19.
Senior Accountant: $54.50 an hour. Closes Oct. 12.
Planner I: $51.61 an hour. Closes Oct. 13.
Senior Communications Advisor: $49.53 an hour. Closes Oct. 18.
Lawyer, Litigator: $103,257 to $215,071 a year. Closes Oct. 20.
The City's trades jobs pay well too. A Millwright earns $48.24 an hour, an Engineering Technologist $47.56, a Maintenance Repairperson $36.86, and an ISA-certified Arborist $36.05.
For recreation, Group Fitness Instructors earn $33 to $45 an hour.
The City is also hiring Transit Peace Officers, Emergency Communications Officers who answer 911 calls, and a manager for Edmonton Public Library's Woodcroft branch, at $112,782 to $140,974.
The Government of Alberta: 86 Edmonton jobs
The province lists pay on nearly every job.
Provincial Prosecutor: $82,168 to $107,710. Closes Oct. 9.
Senior Economist: $82,168 to $107,710. Closes Oct. 14.
Junior Full Stack Developer: $66,130 to $99,178. Closes Oct. 14.
Park Ranger Supervisor: $63,661 to $81,430. Closes Oct. 9.
Tax Information Officer: $61,754 to $80,375. Closes Oct. 10.
One unusual opening: a Councillor Accountability and Recall Advisor, working on the rules for holding municipal councillors accountable, at $82,168 to $107,710.
At the top, a Legislative Counsel, who drafts Alberta's laws, pays up to $269,435.
Costco: 25 jobs, and a new store coming
Costco has 25 Edmonton openings.
Many are the warehouse jobs you'd expect, like Stocker, Cashier Assistant and Food Court staff. Others are more specialized: a Pharmacist, a licensed Optician, an Audiologist, a Meat Cutter and a Tire Installer.
There are also a Delivery Driver and an Order Picker.

Trades: up to $60 an hour
Finning has 40 Edmonton openings, and posts some of the best trades pay on the board.
Heavy Duty Mechanic, Field: $54.04 to $60.04 an hour.
Dual Ticket Machinist and Apprentice Welder: $54.04 to $60.04 an hour.
Journeyman Mechanic: $52.55 an hour.
At $60 an hour, a 40-hour week works out to about $124,800 a year before overtime and taxes.
EPCOR is hiring a Survey Technologist at $49.93 to $59.56 an hour, closing Oct. 13.
Construction
Ledcor has 112 openings, followed by Bird Construction (47), Clark Builders (40), EllisDon (34) and PCL (24). Together, that's more than 250 jobs.
Kiewit lists a Field Coordinator, Infrastructure Construction at $87,000 a year.
Tech: Jobber
Jobber, the Edmonton-founded software company that makes tools for home service businesses, has 32 openings.
They range from Sales Development Representative and Product Support Specialist to Senior Software Engineer, Staff Data Scientist, Applied ML and AI Marketing Enablement Manager.
If you want a tech job based in Edmonton, not a remote one from somewhere else, it's one of the first places to look.
Universities and health care
The University of Alberta has 80 openings.
MacEwan University has 23, including a Dean of the Triffo School of Business, a Director of Health, Safety and Environment at $117,979 to $159,492, and campus jobs like a Grounds Worker.
In health care, AgeCare has 82 openings, and Chartwell Retirement Residences has 25.
Starter jobs
Canada Post has Postal Clerk jobs at $25.37 an hour, open until Dec. 1, and a Letter Carrier job at $23.81, closing Oct. 16.
The City's Customer Service Representative pays $25.17 an hour, closing Oct. 14.
And Walmart has 161 openings across the city.
Students
Capital Power is hiring a Supply Chain Summer Student at $36.18 an hour.
ATCO has Engineering co-ops for May 2027 at $28 to $36 an hour, and Supply Chain co-ops starting in January at $24 to $31.
Big employers are already hiring for 2027, so it pays to apply early.
