Costco is holding a job fair Monday, September 28, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Clareview Community Recreation Centre as it staffs its new warehouse at Manning Town Centre.

Costco is hiring across all departments
According to Costco, much of the hiring will be for entry-level positions, including:
Front-end assistants
Maintenance
Merchandise stockers
Deli
Meat
Bakery
Food court
Some roles require experience. Costco says forklift operator positions are one example.
So Monday isn't just for experienced retail workers. There are entry-level openings across several parts of the warehouse.
Why Costco jobs attract so much interest
Costco appeared on Forbes' Canada's Best Employers 2026 list, produced with Statista from surveys of Canadian workers.
The company also has a long history of promoting from within. Its current CEO, Ron Vachris, started his career with the company as a forklift driver.
Costco says employees have opportunities to advance within the company, and its Canadian pay structure uses predetermined wage scales, with increases tied to hours worked or annual increases depending on the position.
For job seekers, there's another reason Monday stands out: Costco is staffing an entirely new warehouse, and many of the positions are entry-level.

From construction site to hiring
Not long ago, the Manning Town Centre Costco was an announcement. Then it became a construction site.
Now it's hiring.
The new location is taking shape near 153 Avenue and Ebbers Boulevard NW, with a warehouse, gas bar and liquor component planned for the development.
The job fair marks another tangible step forward. Costco is no longer just building the new warehouse; it's starting to put together the team that will work inside it.

The gas station will open first
Costco says the gas station will open before the warehouse.
No date has been announced for either yet, but the pumps are expected to be the first part of the new Costco to open.
