Splitsville has opened a 20-lane bowling alley at Township in Calgary’s Legacy neighbourhood, at 720-80 Longview Common SE.
It is the chain’s fifth location in the city, joining Creekside, Highfield, Glamorgan and Meridian, and the first one Splitsville built new in Calgary. The other four were existing bowling centres the company took over and rebranded in October 2023. Legacy was announced in January and opened this week.
What’s inside
Twenty lanes of ten-pin bowling, including VIP lanes with separate lounge seating, dedicated waiter service and priority check-in. An arcade with prize games, cranes, a photo booth and VR. Pool tables. And a bar and diner serving burgers, wings, pizza, sharing platters, kids’ meals and cocktails. Outside food and drink is not allowed.
“Calgary has been an incredible market for Splitsville,” president Pat Haggerty said when the location was announced.

What it costs
Splitsville prices by package, per person, with the final amount set at checkout. Starting prices on the Legacy page:

You can wear your own shoes. Not Crocs.
Splitsville dropped the rental-shoe requirement across Canada in 2025, the first bowling chain in the country to do it. Adults and kids can bowl in their own shoes if they are clean, dry and flat-soled. Open-toed footwear, Crocs and slides are not allowed on the lanes. Rental shoes are still there if you need them.
Book online or take your chances
Splitsville’s own rule: booking online is the only way to guarantee a lane. Walk-ins get what’s left. Groups of 20 or more go through the events team, weekdays 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
One thing to read before you pay: reservations are non-refundable. You can move a booking to another date, but only if you do it at least 48 hours ahead.
Good to know before you go
Kids under 12 need an adult or caregiver aged 16 or older with them.
Six-pound balls are available for kids, and ball ramps for the youngest players.
A game takes about 10 minutes per person, so a group of six should plan for about an hour per game.
You have to be of legal drinking age to order alcohol.
The Legacy lanes are wheelchair accessible. Of Calgary’s five Splitsvilles, only Glamorgan, in an older lower-level building, is not.
Leagues run at every Splitsville, mostly Monday to Wednesday nights, with daytime leagues Thursday and Friday and youth leagues on weekend mornings at some centres. Legacy’s schedule will come from the centre directly.

Where Splitsville is opening next in Alberta
Alberta is where Splitsville is spending. The company, owned by U.K.-listed Hollywood Bowl Group, opened a 31,000-square-foot centre on St. Albert Trail in Edmonton earlier this year, its first in that city, and has a 27-lane South Common location on 99 Street planned for early 2027. A Manning Town Centre location has also been announced.
Managing director Andy Johnson said the Calgary response showed “just how much Albertans value shared entertainment experiences.”
