Calgary police are asking for the public’s help finding a 15-year-old girl who was last seen in southwest Calgary on Tuesday afternoon.
Mary-Anne was last seen between 4 and 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, in the Mission neighbourhood.
Police believe she’s riding a green and black BMX-style bike.
The Calgary Police Service shared the appeal early Wednesday morning, Nov. 4.
What Mary-Anne looks like
Calgary police describe her as:
Age: 15
Height: 5'6" (168 cm)
Build: slim
Hair: brown
Eyes: brown
What she was wearing
a dark red vest with fur on the hood
a red button-up shirt with a collar
dark pants
a black backpack
The bike may be the easiest thing to spot: a green and black BMX-style bike.
Last seen in Mission
Mission is an inner-city neighbourhood in southwest Calgary, along 4 Street S.W. and the Elbow River, just south of the Beltline.
Police haven’t given a specific intersection or address. They haven’t said where she may have been heading, or whether anyone has seen her since Tuesday afternoon.
Nothing police have released suggests a crime. They want to find her and make sure she’s OK.

How you can help
Share her description. The more people who know what she looks like, the better the chance someone recognizes her.
Check your cameras. If you live or work in or near Mission, look at doorbell, security or dashcam footage from Tuesday afternoon on. Save the original file before you contact police.
Watch for the bike. Keep an eye out near pathways, parks, the Elbow River, malls and transit stops.
Don’t post guesses. Unconfirmed sightings and rumours online can slow a search down. Take real information straight to police.
You don’t have to wait 24 hours
There’s no waiting period to report someone missing in Canada. If someone’s absence is unusual, or you’re worried about their safety, call police right away.
If they’re in immediate danger, call 911. Otherwise, in Calgary, call the non-emergency line at 403-266-1234.
It helps to have ready:
a recent photo
a description, including height, hair and eye colour
what they were wearing
when and where they were last seen
any bike or vehicle they might be using
their phone number and social media accounts
This story will be updated as police release more information.
