Looking for work in Calgary this fall? There are 1,686 jobs open on our job board right now, from 83 employers.
Calgary's unemployment rate was 6.7 per cent in August, the latest figure available, according to the Alberta government's labour market numbers. That's down slightly from 6.8 per cent in July, but it still means plenty of people are competing for work.
The good news: the openings span almost every kind of job, from grocery and gas bar shifts to engineering, city trades, health care and university work.
Counts are current as of Oct. 6, 2026, and change daily.
