If you're looking for work in Red Deer this October, there are more than 200 openings to go through.
Our job board is tracking 202 jobs from 27 employers in Red Deer and nearby central Alberta towns. They range from grocery and gas bar shifts to Costco warehouse jobs, construction, engineering, health care, banking, city jobs and farm work.
Some close within days.
Counts are current as of Oct. 6, 2026, and change daily.
Red Deer's unemployment rate is below Alberta's
Red Deer's unemployment rate was 6.2 per cent in August, according to Alberta's labour force statistics. That's up slightly from 6.1 per cent in July.
That's lower than the province as a whole. Alberta's unemployment rate was 6.8 per cent in August, according to Statistics Canada, above the national rate of 6.4 per cent. Calgary's was 6.7 per cent.
So Red Deer's job market is a little better than Alberta's overall, but still competitive. About one in 16 people looking for work in the region can't find it.
September's numbers come out Friday, Oct. 9.
