Alberta RCMP are asking for the public's help locating Dorian August Kootenay, a man wanted for various crimes and last known to be in the Fort McMurray area.
The wanted notice, released as part of RCMP's Wanted Wednesday program, lists Kootenay's areas of activity as Lac La Biche, Fort McMurray, Kikino, Smoky Lake County, and the County of St. Paul a stretch of northern and northeastern Alberta.
Police are warning the public not to approach Kootenay under any circumstances.
RCMP's Wanted Wednesday selections are determined by a data-driven scoring system using the Crime Severity Index, which identifies individuals causing the most harm to communities. The selection process does not consider age, gender, race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, religion, sexuality, or disability.
