Calgary Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man believed to have committed an indecent act near a northeast Calgary playground last December releasing a composite sketch of the suspect after months of investigation failed to produce an image.

The incident occurred on December 12, 2025, at approximately 12:48 p.m. in the Whitehorn community. Police say an intoxicated man was observed near a playground, reportedly recording children with a smartphone. He was later seen engaging in inappropriate behaviour in a nearby public area before leaving after members of the public approached him.
Investigators canvassed the area for witnesses and surveillance footage but were unable to obtain a usable image of the suspect, leading to the release of the composite sketch Monday.
The man is described as 70 to 80 years old, approximately 5'6" tall, with a medium build and medium complexion. He has a white-tipped beard with black roots and distinctive brown and red patches. At the time of the incident he was wearing black headphones, a black toque, a blue puffer jacket, navy-blue work pants, and black shoes. He was carrying a white and gold-coloured smartphone.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Calgary Police at 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477, online at calgarycrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips app.
