Thanksgiving is Monday, October 12, 2026. If nobody in your house wants to roast a turkey, Calgary and Edmonton hotels, restaurants, the Calgary Zoo and a golf club will do it for you: three-course dinners from $42, brunch buffets, turkey plates under $30, and complete feasts to pick up and reheat, from $32 a person to a $450 dinner for ten. Every offer below was confirmed on the venue's own site or booking page on October 9, and the ones already sold out are marked. Prices marked "about" are the venue's published figures before tax; check the booking page before you go.
Two practical notes. Most takeout feasts need a day or more of notice and several pickup windows are Saturday and Sunday only, so order today. And Sunday dinner is the busiest sitting of the year; if you want a table on the 11th, book it now, and consider the Monday, which is quieter almost everywhere and is the actual holiday. For what else is open on the Monday, see our Thanksgiving Monday guide.

If you are cooking after all
Grocery stores in both cities open on holiday hours on Monday, so the last-minute cranberry run is possible; Costco is closed. Transit runs a Sunday schedule in both cities on the 12th, and on-street ParkPlus parking is free in Calgary that day. The full rundown of what is open, closed and paid is in our Thanksgiving 2026 in Alberta guide, and the weekend's events are in the Calgary and Edmonton long-weekend guides.
