Incident Reported at South Lethbridge Apartment
According to Lethbridge Police Service, officers and EMS responded to a 911 call around 6:30 a.m. on March 27 reporting an assault at an apartment complex in the 200 block of 7 A Avenue South.
When police arrived, they located an unresponsive man inside one of the units. He was later pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as a 27-year-old Lethbridge resident, though his name has not been released.

Police Say Attack Was Planned
Investigators say the victim had been inside the apartment with a 22-year-old woman in the hours leading up to his death. During that time, multiple individuals attended the residence.
Police allege the man was forcibly confined, assaulted, and choked. He later died from his injuries. Evidence gathered during the investigation suggests the attack was targeted and planned, with all five accused actively involved.
Five Arrests Made Over Several Days
Arrests were carried out over the course of nearly two weeks.
Two suspects a 43-year-old man and a 27-year-old man were first taken into custody on March 28. On March 30, officers executed search warrants at two homes in the city and arrested a third suspect.
A fourth individual was located and arrested on April 2, while the final accused, a 22-year-old woman, turned herself in to police on April 8.
All Five Facing First-Degree Murder Charges
Police have identified the accused as Darcy Andrew Medicine Crane (43), Jordan Frank North Peigan (27), Nicholas Rodney Scout (42), Bradley Stephen Paskiuski (40), and Emma Ryann Scott (22), all of Lethbridge.
Each is charged with one count of first-degree murder and remains in custody.
Court Dates Set as Investigation Continues
Several of the accused are scheduled to appear in court later this month and into early May. Police say no additional suspects are being sought at this time, though the investigation remains ongoing.
No further details have been released.
