The next round of government payments reaches Albertans between Thursday, Nov. 19 and Friday, Nov. 27.
Depending on what you qualify for, that could include the Canada Child Benefit, the Alberta Seniors Benefit, AISH, CPP, Old Age Security and the quarterly Alberta Child and Family Benefit.
The biggest number is $1,977.65 a month. That’s the most a low-income senior aged 75 or older can get from Old Age Security and the Guaranteed Income Supplement combined. It isn’t a new payment, and it isn’t for everyone. Most seniors get less, and many get no supplement at all.
Every payment date, in order
| Date | Payment |
|---|---|
| Thursday, Nov. 19 | Canada Disability Benefit |
| Friday, Nov. 20 | Canada Child Benefit |
| Tuesday, Nov. 24 | Alberta Seniors Benefit |
| Wednesday, Nov. 25 | AISH, ADAP and Income Support (December benefits) |
| Thursday, Nov. 26 | CPP, Old Age Security and Guaranteed Income Supplement |
| Friday, Nov. 27 | Veterans disability pension |
| Friday, Nov. 27 | Alberta Child and Family Benefit (quarterly) |
These are scheduled dates. How much you get depends on the program and your situation. For the full month’s calendar, see Alberta Benefit Payment Dates for November 2026.
Where the $1,977 comes from
It’s two federal payments added together.
| Single senior | Max OAS | Max GIS | Combined |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aged 65 to 74 | $762.50 | $1,138.90 | $1,901.40 |
| Aged 75 and up | $838.75 | $1,138.90 | $1,977.65 |
Those are the October to December 2026 rates.
The supplement is income-tested. CPP, a workplace pension or almost any other income shrinks it or wipes it out. Couples get different amounts, and a partial OAS pension changes the math too. There’s nothing new to apply for. If you already get OAS and GIS, this is just what your payment is.
AISH, ADAP and Income Support: Wednesday, Nov. 25
This is December’s money. Alberta pays four business days before the first of the month.
The AISH living allowance is $1,940 a month in 2026. The Alberta Disability Assistance Program pays a core benefit of $1,740, plus a $200 transition benefit for eligible former AISH clients, which brings them to $1,940 too. Actual payments can differ depending on other income and household. Income Support depends on household size and living situation.
Watch the gap. The next payment, for January, comes Tuesday, Dec. 22. That’s 27 days later. If rent or bills come out on the first, plan for it now.
Our AISH guide explains the rest, and the AISH payment dates tool shows the coming months.
Canada Child Benefit: Friday, Nov. 20
For July 2026 to June 2027, families with adjusted net income under $38,237 get the maximum:
$679.75 a month for each child under six
$573.58 a month for each child aged six to 17
A family with a four-year-old and a nine-year-old could get up to $1,253.33 a month. The amount drops as income rises. It’s based on your 2025 tax return.
Alberta Seniors Benefit: Tuesday, Nov. 24
This one is provincial and separate from OAS. It’s for Albertans 65 and older with low income.
From July 1, 2026, the income guidelines are $32,690 a year for a single senior and $53,800 for a couple. The maximum is $3,946 a year for a single senior who owns, rents or lives in a lodge, and $5,918 for a couple. What you get depends on income, marital status and where you live. Our seniors benefit guide covers who qualifies.
CPP, Old Age Security and GIS: Thursday, Nov. 26
CPP. The 2026 maximum for someone starting at 65 is $1,507.65 a month. The average for new recipients at 65 is $858.34. Most retirees are much closer to the average than the max.
Old Age Security. Up to $762.50 a month at 65 to 74 and $838.75 at 75 and up. You could get less depending on how long you’ve lived in Canada and your income.
Guaranteed Income Supplement. Up to $1,138.90 a month for a single, widowed or divorced senior who qualifies for the maximum. It lands the same day as OAS.
Alberta Child and Family Benefit: Friday, Nov. 27
This one is quarterly, not monthly, so November’s deposit covers three months.
For July 2026 to June 2027, the base benefit is up to:
$1,529 a year for the first child
$764 a year each for the second, third and fourth child
Families with working income can get an extra working component on top. Alberta funds it, and the CRA pays it out. Deposits vary by family income.
Canada Disability Benefit and veterans pensions
The Canada Disability Benefit lands Nov. 19. It’s for working-age Canadians approved for the Disability Tax Credit who meet the income, age and residency rules and have filed their taxes. The amount depends on income.
Veterans disability pensions are paid Nov. 27. That’s a separate program from CPP disability and the Canada Disability Benefit.
What’s not coming in November
Two benefits skip this month. The Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit, which replaced the GST/HST credit, and the Advanced Canada Workers Benefit are both next paid in January 2027.
If your payment doesn’t show up
Direct deposits can take a day or two. Mailed cheques take longer. AISH, ADAP and Income Support cheques are mailed six business days before the first of the month.
CRA benefits like the Canada Child Benefit and Alberta Child and Family Benefit: wait five working days before calling. For some other credits it’s 10.
AISH, ADAP or Income Support: call your caseworker or Alberta Supports at 1-877-644-9992.
Check upcoming payments in CRA My Account or My Service Canada Account.
If you applied for the $100 energy rebate before applications closed Oct. 31, that’s separate from everything above. The province says to allow up to 14 days for payment. The details are in our energy rebate guide.
December comes early
Holiday timing pushes most December payments earlier:
Dec. 11: Canada Child Benefit
Dec. 17: Alberta Seniors Benefit and Canada Disability Benefit
Dec. 22: CPP and Old Age Security
Dec. 22: AISH, ADAP and Income Support for January 2027
Dec. 23: Veterans disability pension
If you live on a fixed monthly income, that’s a long stretch between December’s payment and January’s. Budget for it now.
