Festival
The Japanese garden at Henderson Lake celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, and its summer festival brings taiko drumming, Yosakoi dance and Tanabata wish-writing to the grounds. Guided garden tours run hourly and are included with admission — festival day is the fullest the garden gets all summer.

Fort Whoop-Up

Wild Neighbours at Helen Schuler Nature Centre

Pair the indoor Wild Neighbours gallery with the free coulee trails right outside the door in the Oldman River valley — go early morning for cooler temperatures and better wildlife spotting. It's a short walk from Fort Whoop-Up in the same river bottom, so you can do both.
