Canada’s first Ferrari F80 has reportedly arrived, and it doesn’t look like any other.
The hypercar was spotted in Vancouver this week by local car photographer @y.z_photos, as first reported by The Supercar Blog. It’s believed to be the first F80 delivered in Canada. Ferrari hasn’t publicly confirmed that.
Only 799 F80s will ever be built. This one is rarer still: it was designed to its owner’s specifications through Ferrari’s Tailor Made program.

Not red
Most people picture a Ferrari in red. This one is a deep blue with a single white stripe down the middle.
The Supercar Blog believes the colour is Blu Bonaccia, a shade Ferrari first showed on its 12Cilindri. It sits against black bodywork and exposed carbon fibre, with two-tone wheels that have white rims to match the stripe.
Tailor Made is Ferrari’s most personal ordering program. Buyers work directly with the company’s designers in Maranello, Italy, picking paint, leather, stitching and trim that aren’t offered on the standard order sheet. The process can take months.
That doesn’t mean this is the only blue F80 out there. It means this exact combination was made for one person.
More than $5 million, and money isn’t enough
The F80 starts at about US$3.9 million. That’s well over $5 million Canadian, before taxes, shipping and whatever the Tailor Made options added. The Vancouver owner’s final price hasn’t been made public.
Having the money doesn’t guarantee you get one. Ferrari usually offers its limited hypercars to long-time customers and serious collectors first, and all 799 were spoken for when the car was revealed in October 2024.
Nobody can walk into a dealership today and order one.
The most powerful Ferrari road car ever
The F80 isn’t expensive just because of the badge.
| Specification | Ferrari F80 |
|---|---|
| Engine | 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 |
| Powertrain | Hybrid, with electric front motors |
| Total output | About 1,200 hp (metric) |
| 0 to 100 km/h | 2.15 seconds |
| 0 to 200 km/h | 5.75 seconds |
| Top speed | About 350 km/h |
| Dry weight | About 1,525 kg |
| Production | 799 |
| Starting price | About US$3.9 million |
Ferrari quotes power in metric horsepower. In standard horsepower, the F80 makes about 1,184, still more than any road car Ferrari has ever sold, and well ahead of the LaFerrari it replaces.
It goes from a standstill to 200 km/h in under six seconds. Ferrari also says the car’s aerodynamics can press it into the road with more than 1,000 kg of downforce at 250 km/h, which is extraordinary for something you can register and drive on the street.
Why a V6?
The most surprising thing about the F80 is what it doesn’t have: a V12.
Ferrari’s last flagship, the LaFerrari, paired a big naturally aspirated V12 with an electric motor. The F80 uses a twin-turbo V6 that makes about 900 hp on its own, with the hybrid system adding the rest.
It’s not a downgrade. The engine draws on Ferrari’s racing program, including the 499P, the prototype Ferrari has raced and won with at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Electric motors drive the front wheels, giving the F80 all-wheel drive.
Less engine, more technology. That’s Ferrari’s bet for this generation.
A once-a-decade Ferrari
Every decade or so, Ferrari builds a car to show off everything it can do. The F80 is the newest:
F40 (1987): Built for Ferrari’s 40th anniversary, and the last car Enzo Ferrari personally signed off on. Still the poster on a lot of bedroom walls.
F50 (1995): Brought Formula 1 thinking to the road, with a V12 bolted straight to the chassis.
Enzo (2002): Named after the founder, with F1-style electronics and aerodynamics.
LaFerrari (2013): Ferrari’s first hybrid flagship, a V12 with electric help.
F80 (2024): Smaller engine, more power, electric all-wheel drive and race-car engineering.
The F80’s styling looks back too. Ferrari has pointed to the F40 and the Daytona SP3 as inspiration, and the black band across the hood is a nod to the classic 365 GTB/4 Daytona.
First deliveries around the world
Production started in 2025 and is expected to run through 2027, so owners are only now starting to take delivery.
Other Tailor Made F80s have been turning up too. One finished in bright Lucky Orange was delivered in the U.K. last month, and the first F80 to land in Dallas showed up in an unusual finish of its own.
As more arrive, car spotters are tracking each one city by city.
Will one come to Alberta?
No Alberta delivery has been made public.
The province’s only official Ferrari dealer is Ferrari of Alberta, on Blackfoot Trail SE in Calgary. Ferrari doesn’t say where its limited cars go, and owners of cars like this often keep them out of sight.
If one does show up, the best bet for seeing it would be a private collection or an exotic car event. And with only 799 in the world, it would be a rare sighting anywhere.
For now, Vancouver has Canada’s first.
